A message from Father Tony:
Dear Parishioners
On my appointment as Parish Priest for the catholic community of Irlam I was handed over the log book containing the records. My service here has already shown the greater community spirit and caring approach taken to our catholic faith both in the home and at school.
It is heart warming to see our children grow in safety, compassion and love and it is indeed a legacy of all the previous priests who have served here and created a true and faithful home for our faith.
Welcome, that's what it says at the entrance of our churches and that open greeting extends to all, such is the welcoming nature of our community.
May I give thanks to all our previous priests and in some small measure may I ask for your prayers and support so that our community may grow from strength to strength under the protection our patrons St. Teresa of Avila and St. Joseph the Worker.
It is indeed a blessing to see the youngsters as they develop surrounded by love and affection and a true belief in our Christian values of honesty and benevolence.
May the Lord bless you.
Father Tony
